Payments & deposits
Dog grooming payment software that helps you get paid with less chasing.
OpenDog helps grooming businesses create invoices, accept secure online card payments through an eligible shop’s connected Stripe account, request optional appointment deposits, and keep balances, receipts, deposit records, and follow-up in the appointment workflow.
Dog grooming payment software keeps payment connected to the appointment.
After a full grooming day, chasing balances and remembering who owes a deposit is wasted time. OpenDog keeps payment status connected to the appointment.
Support stronger payment policies.
After Stripe onboarding, an eligible shop can accept secure online card payments and explicitly enable its appointment-deposit policy while keeping invoices, balances due, tips, receipts, refund notes, and payment history organized.
Protect your schedule.
Send a customer a secure Stripe-hosted deposit request and, after verified payment reconciliation, a deposit confirmation email. Deposit status and records stay connected to the appointment without enabling deposits for shops that have not opted in.
FAQ
Common questions from grooming businesses.
Can OpenDog collect deposits?
Yes. After Stripe onboarding, an eligible shop can explicitly enable its deposit policy and send a secure Stripe-hosted appointment-deposit request. OpenDog records the verified payment against the appointment and can send the customer a confirmation email.
Can I send payment links?
Yes. Eligible shops can send secure online card-payment links after completing Stripe onboarding and required readiness checks.
Can OpenDog charge a saved card automatically?
Saved cards and off-session invoice charges are separately gated and require customer authorization and shop eligibility. OpenDog never makes hidden or automatic charges.
Does OpenDog force customer processing fees?
OpenDog software billing is separate from groomer-customer payments; customer payment settings depend on the business payment setup.
